Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Laboratory Tech to join the Transfusion Services (Blood Bank) team on the full-time night shift. You will perform a variety of tests, interpret results, and ensure timely reporting to support patient care.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in a relevant science, ASCP/AMT/AAB certification, and has experience in transfusion services. We offer sign-on bonuses, competitive pay, and a comprehensive benefits package.

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Science, Physical Science, Biological Science, or Medical Laboratory Science required.
• ASCP, AMT, or AAB certification required.
• Previous Transfusion Services/Blood Bank experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Perform laboratory testing and analysis in Transfusion Services/Blood Bank.
• Accurately interpret, document, and report test results.
• Follow established laboratory policies, procedures, and quality control standards.
• Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and accreditation requirements.
• Collaborate with pathologists, physicians, nurses, and laboratory team members to support patient care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.

The base pay range for full-time employment is $37.13 - $54.39 hourly.
