Marsh Med Ctr Weston is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician/Medical Laboratory Scientist (PRN) to perform comprehensive testing across pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical stages. Premium Float Rate – $2.25 per hour
Responsible for pre‑analytical, analytical, and post‑analytical phases of testing. Follows standard operating procedures and ensures laboratory safety, quality and regulatory requirements are met. Collect laboratory specimens as needed, process specimens and perform clinical laboratory testing—including manual and automated methods—in accordance with laboratory policies and procedures. Demonstrates skill in use of equipment relevant to position, and exercise critical and independent judgement in decision‑making and problem‑solving. Demonstrates personal commitment to the principles, values, and ethics of the organization to promote a positive work environment. Seeks personal learning opportunities, recognizes safety hazards and complies with all safety practices and protocols. Assists in training new staff, serves as a laboratory resource, performs other related duties as assigned, and may be required to travel to other locations.
• Associates degree in Laboratory Science required.
• Possesses a national certification for Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Clinical Laboratory Technician (CLT) through an approved Health and Human Services agency (for example, American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP)); or is registry eligible. Registry eligible candidates must successfully complete the Board of Registry examination within 12 months of employment. If working in North Dakota (ND), must be licensed or have a provisional license from the ND Board of Clinical Laboratory Practice. Maintains continuing education credits equivalent to state requirements as needed for license and certifications. May be required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in laboratory or biological sciences required.
• Possesses a national certification for Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) through an approved Health and Human Services agency (for example, American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP)) or is registry eligible. Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) also acceptable. Registry eligible candidates must successfully complete the Board of Registry examination within 12 months of employment. If working in North Dakota (ND), must be licensed by the ND Board of Clinical Laboratory Practice. Maintains continuing education credits equivalent to state requirements as needed for license and certifications. May be required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
