Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in laboratory or biological sciences required.
• National MLS/ASCP or MT certification required or registry eligible.
• Registry-eligible candidates must pass the Board of Registry exam within 12 months.
• ND license by the ND Board of Clinical Laboratory Practice required if working in ND.
• Continuing education credits may be required to maintain license.
• BLS certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Collect laboratory specimens as needed.
• Process specimens and perform clinical laboratory testing using manual and automated methods.
• Demonstrate skill with equipment relevant to the position.
• Exercise critical and independent judgement in decision-making and problem-solving.
• Promote a positive work environment by upholding organizational ethics.
• Seek personal learning opportunities.
• Identify safety hazards and follow safety practices.
• Assist in training new staff.
• Serve as a laboratory resource.
• May travel to other locations as required.
