Job summary

St. Charles Health System is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) to perform and interpret clinical laboratory tests across diverse specimen types in our multi-hospital system in Oregon.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science.
• MLS certification or eligibility within 8 weeks of hire.
• Previous MLS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform, interpret and report clinical laboratory testing on diverse specimen types.
• Document results in LIS and ensure timely reporting of critical results.
• Maintain instrument calibration, QC, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance in all duties.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to optimize test accuracy and turnaround time.
