Job summary

Texas Health Southwest in Fort Worth is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist for PRN 3rd shift. The role supports high-complexity microbiology and general laboratory operations, with a focus on specimen integrity, test procedures, quality control, documentation, and safety.

The ideal candidate will hold MT/MLS certification with hospital experience and meet the degree requirement, with opportunities for growth and mentorship within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in MT program or equivalent Science required.
• 2 years Hospital Experience or Medical Laboratory preferred.
• MLS/MT certifications with 6 months required (ASCP/AMT/HEW/NCA or MT(ASCP)/MT).

• 3rd shift (weekdays & weekends). Hour availability would include 8p – 7a

Here’s What You Need:

• Bachelor’s Degree in MT program or equivalent Science required
• Previous experience in high-complexity Microbiology lab highly preferred
• 2 years Hospital Experience or Medical Laboratory preferred
• MLS - Medical Lab Scientist Certified by ASCP, AMT, HEW, HHS or NCA 6 Months required Or
• MT(ASCP) - Medical Technologist 6 Months required Or
• MT - Medical Technologist 6 Months required
