What You’ll Do
- Perform high-complexity testing on blood and body fluids to assist in diagnosing and treating disease.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, contributing to critical patient care decisions.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to new Medical Laboratory Scientists.
- Ensure accurate documentation and timely reporting using laboratory information systems.
What We’re Looking For
Education & Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory/medical technology science.
- ASCP certification (or equivalent) in two or more general lab areas preferred.
- Eligibility for ASCP certification is required within 6 months of hire.
Experience & Skills
- Competency in at least two or more lab disciplines (e.g., chemistry, microbiology, hematology, blood bank).
- Strong verbal communication to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Excellent written documentation skills and computer proficiency.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and manage tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
Schedule Requirements
- Shift rotation with availability for weekends and holidays.
