What You'll Do:
Perform high-complexity testing on blood and body fluids to assist in diagnosing and treating disease.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, contributing to critical patient care decisions.
Provide mentorship and guidance to new Medical Laboratory Scientists.
Ensure accurate documentation and timely reporting using laboratory information systems.
What We're Looking For:
Education & Certification:
Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory/medical technology science.
ASCP certification (or equivalent) in two or more general lab areas preferred.
Eligibility for ASCP certification is required within 6 months of hire.
Experience & Skills:
Competency in at least two or more lab disciplines (e.g., chemistry, microbiology, hematology, blood bank).
Strong verbal communication to collaborate effectively across departments.
Excellent written documentation skills and computer proficiency.
Ability to stand for extended periods and manage tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
Schedule Requirements:
Shift rotation with availability for weekends and holidays.
