Aspen Valley Health in Aspen, CO is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist (Microbiology) to join the Clinical Laboratory. This full-time, on-site role features day shifts and responsibilities for routine and special patient specimen testing across sections, with a focus on data accuracy and communication with physicians.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology and ASCP MLS certification; EPIC, Vitros, Unity, and WellSky experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology is required.
• ASCP MLS certification is required.
• Experience with EPIC preferred.
• Experience with Vitros, Unity and WellSky preferred.
• ASCP Specialty certifications preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
• Equivalent combinations of experience or education may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and special laboratory assays in the Clinical Laboratory across sections.
• Operate and calibrate laboratory equipment and evaluate data for validity before reporting results.
• Communicate test procedures and results with physicians, pathologists and nursing staff.
