Job summary

AdventHealth Sanford is seeking a PRN laboratory professional to join our Florida team. You will perform pre-analytical duties, run samples, report results, and support education for staff across Sanford, Oviedo, and Lake Mary ERs.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in a lab science and 2+ years of clinical lab experience preferred; CLIA equivalency may apply. The role offers a competitive hourly pay and benefits package in a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a laboratory science field is required.
• Field of Study: clinical/medical laboratory science or CLIA-equivalency accepted.
• 2+ years of clinical laboratory experience preferred.
• Equivalent CLIA training/experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-analytical activities: equipment checks, inventory, specimen collection, and disinfection.
• Conduct post-analytical activities: report results and provide technical support.
• Complete tests and analyses following SOPs with accuracy.
• Participate in proficiency testing and regulatory compliance.
• Mentor and train new staff; support education of clinical staff.
