Job description

Join to apply for the Medical Laboratory Scientist II role at Quest Diagnostics.

Location: 10580 N. Meridian St., Indianapolis, IN

Schedule: Full-time, Nights, Monday-Friday 10:00 p.m. - 06:30 a.m. (Rotational Weekends)

Sign-on Bonus: $7,000

Shift Differential: 25% Nights and 10% Weekends

Pay Range: $25.68+ per hour, with potential shift differentials of 10% for some or all hours on second shift and 15% on third shift. Salary offers depend on skills, experience, education, and certifications. Performance bonuses may also be available.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform test procedures of moderate/high complexity independently.
2. Support quality control, troubleshooting, maintenance, training, and process improvements.
3. Ensure accurate testing, reporting, and record keeping in compliance with SOPs and regulatory standards.
4. Maintain a safe, clean laboratory environment and adhere to safety protocols.
5. Assist in training and possibly lead laboratory personnel in supervisor’s absence.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of full-time experience or training in high complexity testing.
• Preferred 3 years of clinical experience, especially recent in the current department.
• Associates Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology, Chemistry, Biology, or related field.
• ASCP Certification preferred.

Physical & Mental Requirements: Ability to lift objects up to 25 pounds, stand for long periods, and perform manual dexterity tasks.

Knowledge & Skills: Strong theoretical and operational knowledge, proficiency in lab systems, and leadership/problem-solving skills.
