Quest Diagnostics is hiring a Medical Laboratory Scientist I for the Auto Chemistry Department in Tucker, GA. The role operates on a Tuesday to Saturday schedule, 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM, with a $10,000 sign-on bonus for eligible external candidates and relocation assistance considered.

Qualifications

• BS in Medical Technology preferred; or BS/BA in Chemistry or Biology, or an associate’s degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Technology.
• Prior qualification as a technologist under 42 CFR 493 is also acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling, processing, test analysis, reporting, and record keeping.
• Maintain records demonstrating proficiency testing samples are processed like patient specimens.
• Analyze specimens using approved testing procedures.
• Review and release test results.
• Adhere to CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines.
• Follow laboratory policies when test systems fall outside established performance levels.
• Identify, correct, or report problems that may affect test performance or reporting.
