Compensation

Pay range: $23.45+ per hour. Salary offers are based on relevant skills, training, experience, education, and certifications. Successful candidates may be eligible for annual performance bonus compensation.

Benefits

Quest Diagnostics offers a 401(k) plan with eligibility after one month and a fully vested company match up to 5% of pay. On‑call employees are also eligible for a 401(k) pre‑tax and/or Roth IRA with company match up to 5% after 12 months of service.

Responsibilities

• Follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling, processing, test analyses, reporting, and maintaining records of patient test results.
• Maintain records that demonstrate proficiency testing samples are tested in the same manner as patient specimens.
• Analyze specimens using approved testing procedures.
• Review and release test results.
• Follow CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and other safety guidelines as described in their respective policies.
• Follow laboratory established policies and procedures whenever test systems are not within acceptable performance levels.
• Identify problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting, correct them or immediately notify the senior technologist or supervisor.

Qualifications

BS in Medical Technology preferred; or BS/BA in Chemistry or Biology, or Associate’s degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Technology, or previously qualified as a Technologist under 42 CFR 493.

Experience

1 year clinical experience in high‑complexity testing preferred.
