Job summary

ARUP Laboratories in South Jordan, UT is seeking personnel for a technical and non-technical role in the clinical laboratory. The job involves daily lab testing, instrument operation, quality control, data entry, and adherence to SOPs to ensure rapid, accurate results for physicians.

Includes a $3,000 sign-on bonus and relocation reimbursement with some conditions. Schedule includes 7-on/7-off with 8:00 PM–6:30 AM shifts (B Week) and a Monday–Friday training period (40 hrs/wk) with flexible

Qualifications

Requires evaluation of education and credentials, including transcripts and certifications.
If hired, may be Technician or Medical Laboratory Scientist in Training; up to 6 months to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

Performs waived, moderate, and/or highly complex analytic processes with competency per SOPs.
Operates, calibrates and troubleshoots laboratory instruments; requests service as needed.
Maintains QC records and performs QC procedures per SOPs.
Follows specimen collection, handling, transport and recording procedures.
Enters data into LIS with appropriate explanatory/interpretive information.
Monitors QC and assists in QA data collection.
Performs proficiency testing and meets output measures per policy.
Reports critical or unexpected patient results following defined processes.
Trains new and current staff on procedures and policies.
Maintains inventory of reagents and supplies.
Directs workflow activities and reviews daily data reports.
