Job summary

Sanford Health in Fargo, ND is seeking a Laboratory Technologist to perform pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical testing across multiple facilities. You will follow SOPs, ensure safety and quality, and support patient care.

Responsibilities include specimen collection, testing with manual and automated methods, training new staff and traveling between Fargo campuses as needed. ND licensure and MLS/MT certification are required or eligible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in laboratory or biological sciences required.
• MLS/MT certification through an approved HHS agency (e.g., ASCP) or registry eligible.
• Certification as Medical Technologist (MT) also acceptable.
• Registry eligible must pass Board of Registry exam within 12 months of employment.
• If working in North Dakota, licensed by the ND Board of Clinical Laboratory Practice.
• Maintain continuing education credits for licensure.
• May be required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Valid driver's license required.

• Possess a national certification for Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) through an approved Health and Human Services (HHS) agency, for example American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or be registry eligible.
• Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) also acceptable.
• Registry eligible candidates must successfully complete the Board of Registry examination within 12 months of employment.
• If working in North Dakota (ND), must be licensed by the ND Board of Clinical Laboratory Practice.
• Maintain continuing education credits equivalent to the state requirements as needed for license and certifications.
• May be required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Valid driver's license required.
