Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Medical Laboratory Science or a closely related medical field and active registration with ASCP.

Responsibilities

• Perform medical laboratory tests, procedures, experiments, and analyses to provide data for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.
• Conduct chemical analyses of body fluids (blood, urine, and spinal fluid) to determine presence of normal and abnormal components and perform blood group, type, and compatibility tests for transfusion purposes.
• Analyze test results and enter findings in computer; perform quality control studies to ensure accuracy of clinical data and participate in proficiency testing.
