University of Mississippi Medical Center seeks a Medical Laboratory Scientist for the Clinical Lab - Bacteriology, Day Shift, at the Main Campus in Jackson. The role performs a full range of tests and analyses to aid diagnosis and treatment.

The ideal candidate will hold an MLS/ASCP (or equivalent) credential with knowledge of hematology, microbiology, chemistry, and data analysis. Willingness to comply with safety and regulatory standards is required.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate, identify, and test microbial organisms; prepare slides for microscopic study and diagnosis.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and ensure safety practices.
