Job summary

Geisinger Lewistown Hospital in Lewistown, PA, is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our advanced clinical laboratory team. You will perform analyses from multiple specimen sources, ensure patient care quality, and maintain competency through ongoing training and exams.

This full-time position offers a $12,500 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates and a comprehensive benefits package. Rotating shifts, on-site work, and opportunities to contribute to innovative laboratory services

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college/university and ASCP/NAACLS-accredited Medical Technology/MLS program.
• Bachelor of Science degree in biological/chemical/physical/clinical laboratory science with ASCP certification.
• At least two years' experience in a role equivalent to an MLT in a clinical lab.

Responsibilities

• P erforms and reports analyses from multiple specimen sources.
• Maintains high level of patient care and satisfaction.
• Meets age-range qualifications for patient care in assigned clinical area.
• Maintains productivity and manages multiple work processes efficiently.
• Completes tasks in a timely manner.
• Performs instrument maintenance, troubleshooting, and quality control.
• Replenishes reagents and supplies per established protocols.
• Navigates multiple computer applications as needed for job functionality.
