Geisinger Medical Laboratories is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform analyses from multiple specimen sources and contribute to high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinical setting.

The role emphasizes accuracy, timely reporting, instrument maintenance, and adherence to established procedures. A BS in Medical Technology or related field with ASCP/NAACLS certification is required, with a $12,500 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology or related field with ASCP/NAACLS-accredited program
• BS in a biological/chemical/clinical lab science with ASCP categorization or equivalent experience
• ASCP certification or eligible required
• Two years’ experience in a clinical laboratory equivalent to MLT

Responsibilities

• Perform and report analyses from multiple specimen sources.
• Maintain productivity and accurate results.
• Ensure proper handling of specimens and proper accessioning.
• Perform instrument maintenance, troubleshooting and quality control.
• Assist in training and orientation of new staff.
• Participate in ongoing educational activities to maintain current knowledge.
