Job summary

Sentara Health in Virginia Beach seeks a Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform routine and complex testing procedures, interpret results, and document findings while maintaining instruments to ensure quality standards.

You will collaborate with physicians and nurses, follow QA/QC and safety protocols, and provide timely reports to support patient care. A Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related field and ASCP/AMT/AAB certification are required.

We provide market‑competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full‑time employment is $37.13–$54.39 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on‑call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra‑shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
