Job summary

Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) for the day shift. This full-time position offers a 6:30 AM–3:00 PM schedule and a sign-on bonus of up to $20,000 for qualified candidates.

As part of the Clinical Laboratory team, you will perform routine and complex testing, interpret results, document findings, operate and maintain equipment, and uphold QA/QC and safety standards while collaborating with physicians and nurses to

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent required; ASCP/AMT eligibility.
• Certification/licensure eligible, ASCP or AMT preferred.
• Experience in a clinical laboratory is desirable.

Responsibilities

This full‑time day shift position offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative healthcare environment where laboratory professionals play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care.

Position Summary

As a Medical Laboratory Scientist, you will performs laboratory tests; interprets test results; documents and reports test results; maintains equipment, instruments, and tools.

The base pay range for full‑time employment is $28.70 - $43.17 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on‑call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra‑shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
