Shift: Nights

Minimum rate of pay: $30.13

Sign-on Bonus: $8,000

Required Qualifications:

Education:

• Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in Medical Technology or Medical Laboratory Science.
  May consider a bachelor’s degree in science with relevant work experience in a comparable laboratory setting. Proof of educational transcripts must be submitted at the time of application.

Experience:

• Relevant work experience in a medical laboratory is required if MLS/MT degree is not obtained.

Certification/Licensure:

• Medical Technologist (MT)/Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) – ASCP, or NCLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Record and review laboratory test results, advising supervisor of abnormal findings.
• Report stat and abnormal results promptly and according to policies.
• Compare current test results with previous ones, noting fluctuations.
• Perform quality control, equipment maintenance, calibration, and operation.
• Notify personnel of issues like specimen problems or equipment malfunctions.
• Prepare standards and reagents for testing.
• Communicate with nursing or client staff regarding results and requests.
