Job summary

Medical City Denton is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist to join a dedicated clinical laboratory team. The role involves performing chemical, bacteriological, serological, and microscopic procedures across one or more lab sections, while maintaining accurate records of results and quality control.

The position also requires equipment upkeep, preventive maintenance, and participation in staff training programs to support exceptional patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• MLS or equivalent certification required.
• At least 1 year hospital experience preferred.

What You Will Do In This Role

• You will perform chemical, bacteriological, serological and microscopic procedures in one or more laboratory sections.
• You will maintain records of performance, patient results and quality control.
• You will maintain equipment, record preventive and remedial maintenance of equipment.
• You will assist with laboratory training programs as required.

What Qualifications You Will Need

• Bachelor’s Degree is required
• Medical Laboratory Scientist, or Certified Medical Lab, or Certified Lab Technologist, or Clinical Laboratory Scientist, or Medical Lab Scientist, or American Medical Technologist is required
• At least one year experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
