Job summary

Sidney Health Center in Sidney, MT is hiring a Medical Lab Technologist / Medical Lab Scientist to join our I CARE team. The role covers testing across Chemistry, Hematology, Blood Bank, Urinalysis, Coagulation and Microbiology with rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in MLT or Bachelor’s Degree in MLS with Montana licensure or eligibility.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical laboratory experience preferred, hospital setting.
• Current Montana CLS or CLT license or eligibility; ASCP or AMT MLS/MLT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate and timely laboratory testing across multiple departments including Chemistry, Hematology, Blood Bank, Urinalysis, Coagulation, and Microbiology.
• Perform quality control, instrument maintenance, troubleshooting and result verification while ensuring compliance with standards.
• Provide reliable laboratory services including specimen collection, STAT testing, and emergency testing, with rotating shifts as needed.

The Position: Medical Lab Technologist / Medical Lab Scientist

Employment Status: Full-time

Compensation:

• Medical Lab Technician- $28.50 Per hour starting wage, aligned with internal pay structure and experience
• Medical Lab Scientist- $32.00 Per hour starting wage, aligned with internal pay structure and experience

Essential Job Functions:

• Perform accurate and timely laboratory testing across multiple departments, including Chemistry, Hematology, Blood Bank, Urinalysis, Coagulation, and Microbiology.
• Perform quality control, instrument maintenance, troubleshooting, and result verification while ensuring compliance with laboratory standards.
• Provide reliable laboratory services, including specimen collection, STAT testing, and emergency testing, while working independently and rotating shifts as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) or Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science (MLS), with Montana licensure or eligibility.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical laboratory experience preferred, particularly as a generalist in a hospital setting.

Certifications and Licenses:

• Required: Current Montana Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) or Clinical Laboratory Technician (CLT) license, as applicable, or eligibility for licensure.
• Preferred: ASCP or AMT certification as MLS or MLT.
