Job summary

Mercy Fort Smith Hospital is seeking a Medical Technologist (PRN) to perform hematology, chemistry, bacteriology, serology, and urinalysis tests. The role includes specimen collection and routine maintenance, with strong focus on accuracy and quality control within Mercy's service standards.

Qualifications include an Associate's degree, MLT/MLS certification or completion of a U.S. 50-week medical laboratory training, with Bachelor's degree preferred and MT(ASCP) certification encouraged.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's degree.
• Certifications: MLT or MLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire OR Completion of a 50-week U.S. medical laboratory training course.
• Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Preferred Experience: 3 years acceptable clinical laboratory experience.
• Preferred Certifications: MT(ASCP) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform hematology, coagulation, chemistry, bacteriology, serology, and urinalysis tests.
• Specimen collection, routine equipment operation and maintenance, inventory control, quality control, calibration, workload recording and quality assessment.
