Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related field is required.
• Passing score on the Clinical Laboratory Technology Proficiency examination approved by HHS (HEW) required.
• 0-2 years of acute care experience required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Blood Bank highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs moderate and high complexity laboratory tests accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely reporting of results with appropriate documentation.
• Performs quality control checks, analyzes data, and takes corrective actions as needed.
• Conducts instrument checks and preventative maintenance according to lab policies.
• Troubleshoots instrument malfunctions and notifies appropriate personnel when needed.
• Ensures compliance with safety regulations and Laboratory Safety Plan.

Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or Chemical/Physical/Biological/Clinical Laboratory Science
