Job summary

Yavapai Regional Medical Center is seeking a Medical Lab Technologist to perform waived and moderate laboratory procedures, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting. You’ll handle sample processing, quality control, and interpretation under leadership oversight, covering microbiology, hematology, chemistry, and more.

The role requires an associate degree in biological/chemical sciences and appropriate lab training; preferred credentials include MT/MLT certifications.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in biological or chemical sciences per CLIA standards.
• High School or GED with official military medical laboratory course recognized for lab work.
• Must be trained in clinical laboratory science as evaluated by the Director of the Clinical Laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Perform waived and moderate laboratory procedures on patient specimens.
• Provide clinical correlation of results and notify caregivers of critical values.
• Maintain and troubleshoot major automated equipment; coordinate vendor support as needed.
• Perform calibration and quality control procedures with proper record-keeping.
• Participate in proficiency testing and review results with laboratory leaders.
• Document validation activities for new procedures and equipment.
