Performs technical procedures in such areas as Hematology, Chemistry, Serology, Blood Bank, Point of Care Testing, Urinalysis and Microbiology according to established Protocols and standard operating procedures. The MLT is required to follow all quality control and quality assurance guidelines established in the department to include accurate performance, review and documentation. Perform routine maintenance of departmental equipment and procedures to include inventory control, preventive maintenance and troubleshooting. The position participates in all aspects of Proficiency testing and in maintaining a constant state of readiness in the department to meet all Standards for accreditation from College of American Pathologist (CAP), DNV, State, OSHA, CLIA, etc. The MLT assists in the training of new and existing personnel as well as students. May perform specimen collection, specimen processing and phlebotomy as applicable. **What you will do** * Performs technical procedures in areas such as Hematology, Chemistry, Serology, Blood Bank, Point of Care Testing, Urinalysis and Microbiology.
