Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our Seattle team. The role supports the Swedish First Hill Laboratory with a Sunday-Wednesday night schedule (9:00 PM–7:30 AM).

You will perform routine and complex testing, monitor instruments, and ensure quality patient results. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Life Science or Medical Technology and ASCP or AMT certification.

Responsibilities

  • Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
  • Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to department SOPs.
  • Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
  • Demonstrate ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
  • Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls.
  • Report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care.
  • Perform and document preventative maintenance and quality control procedures.
  • Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.
  • Assist with processing of specimens when needed.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and wear PPE.

LabCorp is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our team in Seattle, WA.

Work Schedule: Sunday-Wednesday 9:00PM-7:30AM

Location: Swedish First Hill Laboratory

Job Responsibilities
  • Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria
  • Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures
  • Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality
  • Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving
  • Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls
  • Report accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient care
  • Perform and document preventative maintenance and quality control procedures
  • Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary
  • Assist with processing of specimens when needed
  • Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Life Science, Medical Technology
  • ASCP or AMT certification

  • Pay Range: $34.25 -$52.14 per hour

Plus 3RD shift differential

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience and the terms of the collective bargaining agreement between Dynacare Northwest, Inc. and United Food and Commercial Workers Union, Local 21.

Benefits: Regular, full-time or part-time employees working 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), accrue up to 18 days of Annual Leave per year (includes 8 holidays) and Sick Leave (0.0333) hours of sick leave for each hour of work) capped at 64 hours per year, Tuition Reimbursement and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan
