Job summary

Trinity Health in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking a Medical Technologist for full-time day shift. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered. You will perform and document tests, monitor results, and ensure accuracy across clinical areas.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in biological, chemical, or physical sciences, at least three years of MT experience, and licensure in Florida across multiple clinical areas. Certification such as ASCP is preferred.

• Minimum of three years experience as a Medical Technologist.
• Must be licensed Medical Technologist in Florida in more than one clinical area; night shift license in all areas preferred if applicable.

• Prepares and uses proper controls and/or standards for all tests performed.
• Records data and follows guidelines dealing with out of range results.
• Correlates data and monitors test results for reasonableness.
• Detects discrepancies and takes appropriate action.
• Performs and documents scheduled and unscheduled equipment maintenance.
• Recognizes and troubleshoots most equipment malfunctions using results and equipment performance as a guide.

• Performs and documents scheduled and unscheduled equipment maintenance within expected time frame.
• Recognizes and troubleshoots most equipment malfunctions without assistance, using control/patient results and equipment performance as a guide.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors degree in one of the biologic, chemical or physical sciences.
• Minimum of three years experience as a Medical Technologist.

LICENSURE

• Must be a licensed Medical Technologist in more than one Clinical area by the state of Florida.
• If working night shift must be licensed in all areas.
• National certification preferred i.e. ASCP, HEW, NCA, ASMT, AAB or equivalent.
