Job Summary

Performs diagnostic testing on patient samples to aid physicians in the diagnosis and/or monitoring of various disease states. Performs a variety of routine and complex tests across all laboratory sections, including Hematology, Chemistry, Blood Bank, and Microbiology. Participates in patient testing, quality control, CAP surveys, policy and procedure development, and equipment maintenance.

Essential Functions

1. Performs common testing procedures and reports test results.

• Associate’s degree required
• Certification (or registry eligible) as a Medical Laboratory Technician by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists or equivalent agency is preferred
