Allina Health in Minneapolis is seeking a Medical Laboratory Professional to join a diverse lab team. You will perform routine and complex tests across reception, phlebotomy, specimen processing, and analytical areas, with emphasis on accuracy and patient safety.

As an 1.0 FTE role (80 hours per two-week pay period), you will work an 8-hour day/evening shift, with every 3rd weekend rotation, and contribute to training of students and new staff in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Qualifikationen

• Associate's or Vocational degree in a related laboratory field with clinical rotations.
• Laboratory or Medical Laboratory experience preferred.
• Certification ASCP or AMT preferred; must obtain within 180 days if not certified.

Aufgaben

• Performs routine and complex laboratory procedures.
• Follows CAP, OSHA, COLA, CLIA, and HIPAA regulations.
• Customer service and patient order management.
• Evaluates and manages patient orders for completeness and follow-up.
• Performs scheduling, ordering, and releasing orders in EMR.
• Collection and processing of specimens per standardized protocols.
• Reviews orders, verifies patient identification and collection methods.
• Maintains education, regulatory, and safety measures.
• Participates in training of employees and students.
