Baptist Health Princeton Hospital is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician to perform routine lab testing and ensure high-quality results. The role requires graduation from an approved MLT program and current licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technician in Alabama.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved school of medical laboratory technician.
• Associate degree in related field.
• Current license as a Clinical Laboratory Technician as required by the Alabama Department of Health.
• Certified in area(s) of laboratory where assigned.
• Experience: None.

Responsibilities

• Performs and reports routine laboratory testing following established policies and procedures to ensure the highest quality of laboratory results within established timeframes.
• Verifies results and quality control data for accuracy and reliability.
• Performs, evaluates, and documents all quality control, preventive maintenance and troubleshooting procedures.
• Demonstrates computer system proficiency including ordering, resulting, and inquiry functions.
• Ensures proper utilization and preparation of reagents and supplies.
• Communicates critical results to the patient caregiver.
• Regularly reports all unusual findings to the immediate supervisor.
• Maintains attendance and compliance with Baptist Health policies.

Education

Associate degree in related field

Current license as a Clinical Laboratory Technician

Graduate from an approved school of medical laboratory technician

Certified in area(s) of laboratory where assigned
