Responsible for analyzing laboratory specimens and reporting results according to laboratory protocols and procedures.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Clinical training in testing neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients or completion of a 50-week US military medical laboratory procedures course.
• Experience as a Medical Laboratory Specialist (Laboratory Technician).
• Physical ability for light lifting up to 25 pounds, and general motion including bending, squatting, reaching, carrying, pushing, and pulling.
• Manual dexterity and good communication skills.
• Near visual acuity and ability to discern colors.
• Potential contact with blood or other infectious materials.
