Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Medical Lab Technician to join our team at the Halsey Lab in Portland, OR. You will perform a range of technical testing procedures and report results to support patient care.

Responsibilities include specimen acceptance, routine and complex testing, instrument troubleshooting, reagent evaluation, and quality control. The role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and safe work practices.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Life Science or Medical Technology with ASCP/AMT certification.
  • Preferred: 1+ year of clinical lab testing experience in a high-volume laboratory.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Associate's degree in Life Science, Medical Technology ASCP or AMT certification


Preferred Qualifications:


  • 1 year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience in high volume laboratory


Additional Job Standards:


  • High level of attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitask

  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment

  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed

  • Exceptional customer service

  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal

  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision
