Texas Oncology Granbury Laboratory seeks a Medical Laboratory Technician/Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLT/MLS) to join our team. This full-time role primarily supports the Granbury location with occasional coverage for nearby sites. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm with no weekends, call, or major holidays.

Levels 1, 2, or Sr based on experience. Join a patient-focused team delivering accurate results to influence treatment decisions and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in medical technology or related field.
• Current state license if required.
• AMT, ASCP or equivalent certification preferred but not required.
• Position is entry level and requires no experience.
• Three years of experience required for Level 2.
• Five years of experience required for Level Sr.

Responsabilités

• Assists with performing phlebotomy and collecting specimens from patients as ordered.
• Assists with special procedures as needed (e.g., bone marrows in the room).
• Follows laboratory procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting, and maintaining records of patient results.
• Performs specimen analysis of Chemistry, Hematology and Immunology specimens.
• Maintains and operates laboratory equipment; performs instrument maintenance.
• Adheres to QC policies and documents calibrations and maintenance.
• Participates in proficiency testing and reports results.
• Prepares peripheral blood smear and performs WBC differential.
• Performs microscopic examination of urinary sediment.
• Maintains documentation and processes send-out specimens.

Formation

Associates degree in medical technology or laboratory science or related science field

Current state license if required

AMT, ASCP or equivalent certification
