Job summary

Banner Health in Peoria, AZ seeks a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to perform waived and non-waived tests under supervision and assist with regulatory compliance. You will handle collection, receipt and processing of specimens, while maintaining high safety standards and accurate documentation.

Minimum qualifications include an accredited associate or bachelor’s degree in lab science and CLIA competency; phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a laboratory science from an accredited institution.
• Bachelor’s degree in chemical or biological science.
• Equivalent laboratory training meeting CLIA 42 CFR 493.1489 or 493.1491.
• Demonstrated competency in phlebotomy where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform waived and non-waived tests per CLIA ’88 under supervision.
• Assist with department compliance with accrediting/regulatory agencies.
• Collection, receipt and processing of biological specimens.
• Maintain safety using standard precautions and proper equipment.
