Job summary

Community Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a Full-Time Medical Lab Technician to perform routine and specialized diagnostic tests on blood and body fluids.

You will operate and troubleshoot LIS and lab equipment, maintain quality control, and ensure compliant procedures while supporting patient care with accurate results. The role requires an Associate Degree or military MLS training, with 0–2 years of clinical lab experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or military MLS training required or equivalent.
• State license where applicable required or as allowed by regulation.
• 0–2 years of acute clinical laboratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform waived, moderate, and high‑complexity tests following established procedures.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment; perform preventive maintenance.
• Document results in LIS and ensure proper critical result reporting.
• Collect blood specimens via venipuncture and capillary techniques per protocol.
• Apply quality control procedures and initiate corrective actions for out‑of‑range results.
• Assist in training students and new personnel; uphold safety and compliance standards.
