Job summary

Mount Carmel is seeking a Medical Lab Technician (MLT) or Medical Lab Scientist (MLS) to perform phlebotomy and laboratory testing across multiple Ohio locations. The role requires understanding the clinical significance of results, proper operation of instruments, and rapid, accurate reporting. Sponsorship is NOT available for this position.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related field; ASCP certification or eligible. Prior experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field is required.
• Ascp certification or eligibility is preferred.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy and laboratory testing in assigned department.
• Records and reports test results accurately and promptly.
• Performs and interprets quality control testing following established guidelines.
• Maintains a high level of quality assurance and safety procedures.
• Able to recognize problems and consult with supervisor/manager as needed.
