The role offers opportunity to teach and mentor new staff and advances in your career. The position requires working every other weekend with a holiday rotation.

Qualifications

• Performs qualitative and quantitative analytical procedures with precision and accuracy.
• Maintains knowledge of testing techniques and instruments.
• Trains and orients new employees and students in laboratory procedures.

Responsibilities

• Follow specimen collection protocols including phlebotomy and processing.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and perform quality control checks.
• Recognize critical or abnormal test results and take appropriate action.
• Adhere to hospital policies on procedures, safety and compliance.
