Job summary

Catholic Health Initiatives is seeking a Medical Lab Scientist to perform complex laboratory tests across hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and more. You will analyze specimens, operate instruments, interpret results, and ensure quality control to support timely patient care in Omaha, NE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Lab Science or Medical Technology as required by CLIA.
• Strong scientific foundation and technical proficiency.
• Excellent problem solving and meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Performs and reports waived, moderately complex, and highly complex test procedures on patient specimens.
• Provides clinical correlation of results and rapid notification of critical values.
• Maintains major automated equipment through calibration and troubleshooting.
• Performs calibration and quality control procedures with proper record keeping.
• Participates in proficiency testing and reviews results with leaders.
• Assists in validation of new procedures and equipment documentation.
