Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent is required.
• CLIA approved Bachelor's degree with at least one year of direct clinical laboratory experience in the specific discipline.
• ASCP or AMT certification within 12 months of hire or promotion is required or time extension may be granted with approval.

Responsibilities

• Perform waived, moderate to high complexity testing on patient specimens.
• Correlate and interpret data with critical thinking; train students and staff as needed.
• Complete competency assessments and maintain quality control procedures.
• Operate and troubleshoot instrumentation; document maintenance and issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and communicate delays or problems to leadership.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science

CLIA approved Bachelor's degree (or equivalent)

ASCP or AMT certification within 12 months
