Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree required.
• Successful completion of clinical laboratory training internship.
• Maintains current Alabama license; national certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verifies routine results and quality control data for accuracy.
• Performs, evaluates, and documents QC, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Receives guidance from more experienced team members or leader.
• Demonstrates proficiency with computer systems for ordering, results, and inquiries.
• Ensures proper use and preparation of reagents and supplies.
• Communicates critical results to patient care team.
• Reports unusual findings to supervisor.
• Updates oncoming technologist with pending work.
• Responds to technical inquiries as needed.
• Maintains regular attendance in line with policies.
• Complies with all company policies.
