Baptist Health Arkansas in Heber Springs seeks a Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform a broad range of tests and analyses with minimal supervision. You will prepare samples, operate automated equipment, and ensure accurate results to aid clinicians in decision making.
The role requires multitasking, sound judgement under pressure, and the ability to work with the public and hospital staff. A Bachelor's in CLS/Medical Technology and licensure/registry eligibility are preferred.
Working Hours: 5:45p-6:15a Friday, Saturday, Sunday
Summary:
Medical Lab Scientist provides information for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease by conducting medical laboratory tests, procedures, and analyses with little or no supervision. The job includes preparing the samples for examination, using automated equipment and specialized instrumentation, performing numerous complicated tests simultaneously and accurately interpreting the results in a timely manner in order to enable the clinician to utilize the data when making treatment decisions. The job requires multitasking and quick decision making skills. Position requires good judgement and performance under pressure. May be called upon to be Tech in Charge.
