The role requires a Bachelor's degree in CLS/MMLS or related field, registry eligibility, and strong multitasking and communication skills to work under pressure within a leading healthcare system in Arkansas.
Medical Lab Scientist provides information for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease by conducting medical laboratory tests, procedures, and analyses with little or no supervision. The job includes preparing the samples for examination, using automated equipment and specialized instrumentation, performing numerous complicated tests simultaneously and accurately interpreting the results in a timely manner in order to enable the clinician to utilize the data when making treatment decisions. The job requires multitasking and quick decision making skills. Position requires good judgement and performance under pressure. May be called upon to be Tech in Charge.
