Job summary

SEARHC seeks a Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform CLIA high complexity testing in a hospital-based lab in Sitka. The role requires rotating shifts, including night and weekend call, to provide 24-hour coverage for patient care.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's in Medical Technology, state certification (ASCP/AMT), and clinical competency within 3 months of hire. You will work with MLTs and LSTs, ensuring quality and compliance across the department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field requires.
• Certification as Medical Technologist (ASCP) or CLIA equivalent.
• Clinical Competency required within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform all levels of testing including CLIA defined high complexity testing.
• Provide LIS consultation and educate staff on laboratory practices.
• Maintain quality control and coordinate with Regulatory standards (CLIA/JCAHO/CAP).
• Train staff and ensure inventory levels are adequate.
