Vitalant in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform high complexity testing in immunohematology at our reference laboratory. You'll provide technical support to hospital transfusion services, review and report results, and participate in QC, validations, and investigations.

The role requires a Bachelor's in clinical laboratory science and MLS/BB certification, plus state licensure where required; two years of clinical lab experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biological, medical technology or clinical laboratory science required.
• Certification as Medical Technologist/MLS/BB from an accredited agency or CLIA equivalent for high complexity testing required.
• State licensure as required by regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform high complexity testing in immunohematology, including antibody identification, antigen typing, absorptions, elution, and cross match.
• Provide technical support to hospital transfusion services.
• Review and report test results, participate in quality control, preventative maintenance, and validations.
