Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a biological or chemical science as defined by CLIA.
• Must be trained in clinical laboratory science as evaluated by the Director.
• MLS (ASCP) or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs cytogenetic testing according to established protocols.
• Generates and reports results to support accurate diagnoses and prognoses.
• Responsible for accurate and timely result reporting, including communication and documentation of critical results.
• Utilizes critical thinking and independent judgment to interpret data.
• Operates, maintains, and troubleshoots instruments with proper documentation.
• Completes QC and maintenance, recognizing variances and documenting corrective action.
