Job summary

HCA Healthcare's Medical City Dallas hospital in Dallas, TX, invites applications for a Night Shift Medical Lab Scientist. You will perform chemical, bacteriological, serological and microscopic procedures across laboratory sections, maintain records, and support ongoing maintenance and training programs.

We value safety, professionalism and a patient‑centered approach in a fast-paced clinical environment. Required: Bachelor’s Degree and MLS or equivalent certification; 1 year hematology

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• MLS Certification or Certified Laboratory Scientist or equivalent required.
• At least one year of hematology lab experience in a hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform chemical, bacteriological, serological and microscopic procedures in one or more laboratory sections.
• Maintain records of performance, patient results and quality control.
• Maintain equipment and perform preventive and remedial maintenance as needed.
• Assist with laboratory training programs as required.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Our Medical Lab Scientist performs and demonstrates proficiency and understanding in one or more areas of the clinical laboratory. What You Will Do In This Role

• You will perform chemical, bacteriological, serological and microscopic procedures in one or more laboratory sections.

• You will maintain records of performance, patient results and quality control.

• You will maintain equipment, record preventive and remedial maintenance of equipment.

• You will assist with laboratory training programs as required.

What qualifications you will need

• Bachelor’s Degree is required

• Medical Laboratory Scientist, or Certified Medical Lab, or Certified Lab Technologist, or Clinical Laboratory Scientist, or Medical Lab Scientist, or American Medical Technologist is required

• At least one year experience in a hematology laboratory at a hospital setting is preferred.
