Core Lab - 2nd Shift

**Job Summary:**

Performs routine and complex clinical pathology testing and instrument management of laboratory services. Responsible for accurately recording results and ensuring timely delivery. Has the authority, responsibility, and accountability for the accurate performance of laboratory test methodologies used in diagnosis, treatment, and patient response evaluation. Applies clinical knowledge to achieve accurate test results, leading to quality patient care outcomes.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Provides patient-focused care through accurate performance of tests across all stages.
  • Performs qualitative and quantitative procedures, including reagent preparation and quality control, with precision and timeliness.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of techniques, principles, and instruments, and considers physiological conditions affecting results.
  • Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

**Technical Capabilities:**

  • Data Analysis (Novice): Able to demonstrate basic data analysis skills, navigate technology environments, modify queries, and understand data relationships.
  • Quality Assurance (Novice): Participates in establishing and monitoring quality standards, seeking process improvements.
  • Equipment Maintenance (Novice): Maintains equipment and manages inventory effectively.
  • Diagnostic Testing (Novice): Capable of delivering accurate diagnostic results with proper training.
  • Mentoring & Coaching (Novice): Provides constructive feedback and supports team learning.

**Position Qualifications:**

  • Certifications: LIC-Medical Laboratory Act - Tennessee, ASCP Medical Laboratory Scientist, AMT Medical Technologist.
  • Work Experience: Relevant experience, less than 1 year preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required.
