Job summary

Modern Machining Solutions Inc. is seeking a field service engineer to service and maintain medical laboratory analyzers in the Rock Island, IL area. The role requires hands-on electronics and electro-mechanical troubleshooting with prior field service experience in medical devices.

The ideal candidate will travel overnight, install and service instrumentation, and build strong customer relationships while ensuring compliance with vaccination requirements.

Qualifications

• Certificate or AAS degree in electronics is required.
• Good experience with electronics and electro-mechanical troubleshooting.
• Overnight travel will be required.
• Minimum of 3 years experience as a field service engineer.
• Experience servicing medical lab analyzers or other medical instrumentation is a plus.
• This job requires the individual to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and perform preventive maintenance on instrumentation.
• Establish a good customer relations foundation.
• Coordinate problem resolution within the Field Support Group.
• Maintain car inventory including tools and spare parts.
• Provide basic on-site training regarding operation of company instrumentation.
